Wearing a hat to the Kentucky Derby is believed to bear good luck!
This long-established fashion statement is much like getting into costume.
In the clubhouse and paddock, women of grace and taste sport fashionable styles.
From the fantastic to the sublime, there are no rules or limits.
These young ladies are continuing the tradition.
Happy Derby Season!
Glorious combining hats & flowers: the first set is definitely my favorite. I can hardly wait to see this year's offerings.
ReplyDeleteLisa,
ReplyDeleteI love how you coordinated the beautiful flowers with the hats. Too bad you don't live near New Orleans, I know of a lovely hat store. I know you will find something beautiful! Taylor too I would imagine!

ReplyDeleteYou know I love hats... I have got to go the Derby someday!!! It sounds like a visual dream!
ReplyDeleteI would love an excuse to wear a beautiful hat like these- maybe I need to get the fiance to take me to a few horse races so I can :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. I wish hats were back in style, although that has never stopped me from wearing one. I had the fortune of attending the Derby two years ago, and it is the most fun I've had. And the hats were exquisite...well, most of them!
ReplyDeleteThose are so Eastery and fun!! Love your blog Lisa!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I have never been anywhere fancy enough to wear a hat like that, but it looks like a great time! Hope you and your family have a great weekend!
