Patricia Gray is an award-winning interior designer who garners respect from some of the most formidable names in architecture & design.
Her work has been featured in many prestigious publications, including Architectural Digest.
Patricia received her training at the Parson's School of Design in Paris and, more recently, at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Ferrara, Italy.
She is a member of the Inter-Society Color Council of New York, the National Council for Interior Design, the Interior Designers of Canada and if that's not enough, she's also a certified Feng-Shui practitioner!
Though Patricia's portfolio includes unique and award-winning interior design projects all around the world, Vancouver, British Columbia is where you'll find her at home. Here she entertains friends & writes about what's hot in the world of design, architecture, lifestyle, and travel.
It's her signature warmth & personal approach to her subjects that makes Patricia Gray Design Blog one of my daily reads.
I subscribe to Patricia's blog in order to keep up with her and it's always interesting, no matter what! I told her a long time ago that she always makes me feel so smart, so in-the-know!
I'm particularly fond of her story about a trip to Palm Springs where Patricia's father took her on an architectural tour of Screen Block Houses.
One of my favorite posts!
Just yesterday I read her post titled, DIY Grace Kelly Hermes Bag. I couldn't believe that Patricia was suggesting that we get out the scissors & glue & start cutting & pasting one together!
Well, she was, so here we go!

Good morning Renee,
ReplyDeleteYour comment is so appreciated. I hope Patricia has a chance to read your kind words. You know, when I first started my blog, I saw hers and thought wow, this is really beautiful and she looks so friendly. I hadn't even explored her design firm yet, I just knew that I liked HER!
A testament to how nice it is when important designers write blogs! It makes them so much more approachable. This is so true of Patricia. I liked her from the very start!
xo Lisa
Well deserved praise!
ReplyDeletePatricia is the first blogger who commented on my blog. We have since developed a friendship and make a point of seeing each other in New York or Vancouver. Not only is Patricia a sharp extremely talented designer, but I just had the chance to look at her paintings and was struck by her talent! Her work has an ethereal quality and is sublime.
Without sounding silly my comment is this, "I wish I were Patricia Gray" I wanted to be an architect from the age of 12. Her bio is incredibly impressive and what tugs at my heart (besides the fact she is a gracious woman) is her fascination & love for Palm Springs. P.S. architecture is near and dear to my heart. Thank you Lisa for hi-lighting Patricia; two gracious, kind, talented women!

I like you all have been touched by Patricia's lovliness. She is one talented lady....not only in interiors but a beautiful and gifted artist as well. Some people have all the talent! I love reading about her excursions, she makes you feel like you are right there with her. This Hermes bag is extraordinary! I think we should have a girlie purse making party!
ReplyDeleteAs always a beautiful post Miss Lisa!

Oh I really love this as this is probably the closest I will get.
ReplyDeleteA week ago Friday I did a post entitled scarves on my Metis Linens blog and I talked about my dream of an Hermes bag. :)
i have a fond personal memory of patricia.
ReplyDeleteit was late, my husband was sleeping and i was watching barack obama win the election. as many, i felt hopeful and a great celebratory change in the air. up pops a post from patricia on the wondrous occasion. we blogged back and forth on our feelings. she eventually had to take the blog down from many angry reader comments. but i enjoyed sharing that moment with her.
off to see this latest post, looks fascinating!
thanks lisa

Lisa: thank you for your kind comment on my blog!! I'm just back from Palm Beach and finally getting ready for a new post. I've taken a teensy break from the holiday madness. I'm forwarding your Kelly bag post around. I think my 3rd daughter might be able to create an new duct tape creation, wouldn't that be fun?
ReplyDeleteBest, Liz
P.S. I'm running, so remind me to put you on my Carrier Dove blog roll. Thanks for adding me to yours.
