Your day...

Your day.
I hope it was special.

or she was taking care of you.
I hope it was special.

Maybe it was a day like any other.

Or maybe it was a day you'll never forget.
I hope it was special.

Maybe it was a day full of memories of the way it used to be.

Was your day all about being pampered?
 I hope it was special.

Maybe it was a day with no schedule.

Or a day to try something new.
I hope it was special.

Maybe you added something extra to the old routine.

Maybe you decided to show them what you've got!

Maybe it was a day that just couldn't come soon enough.

Maybe today made you remember just how hard it can be.

Was today one of those days when you forget all the rules?

Was it a day when everyone comes together?

Or was it a day for just the two of you?
I hope it was special.

I hope that today you were able to have a change of pace.

And I hope you were with someone that you love.

Lisa this was AMAZING! It brought tears to my eyes and some of these pictures were so moving. What a really special post. I hope you had a wonderful, relaxing Mothers day doing whatever you wanted! Mine was not a great day...(explained on my post today, long story) but thankfully it did have a happy ending.
This post was a great way to start today, a new day, which I am deterimined to make a happy day. Thank you for that!

What a wonderful tribute to motherhood!! Such beautiful photos. Mine was not a special day in any way except that I didn't have to clean up the kitchen. Missing my wonderful mother who made all days special. Hope you had a lovely day!!

I'm with Bec..WoW..WoW. I miss those tugs @ your pant legs, the, "mOm, MOM".."NOW". So many fabulous photos that were cleverly chosen by a woman with a huge heart and a keen awareness of what love is. Love for her children, her home, her husband and her friends. It oozes from every marvelous post you write. Thank you Lisa. I'm so grateful for you and I'm so grateful to appreciate how lucky I am, to be a mother!

Love to you,

Okay, you managed to bring tears to my eyes! The photo of the younger woman walking with the older mom, pulling the grocery carrier, speaks volumes. After my mom's stroke, I feel like that scene plays out more and more in my mind. The photo of a young Vanessa Redgrave was sad, seeing the daughter that she tragically lost. But so many others are simply beautiful, just like motherhood itself. The photos of the military mom really did me in, though! :)

Being a mother is THE highest calling and a privilege to be called 'mom'. I'm with Deb, I miss the tugging and hugging and calling my name. These images brought a tear or two. I hope YOUR day was wonderful.
