May I ask where you got your glasses?
That's all I've been looking at lately are frames.
Yessiree, it's that time again!
I pretty much walk around in all my readers now.
On my head, on my shirt, on my nose.
Forget about doing any sort of anything without them!
I just spent a week re-painting and installing custom shelving in the laundry room, that's where I've been hiding out lately.
It's all fresh & clean & pretty.
Unfortunately, the washer has resigned from washing.
Honestly, I give!
So here I sit.
I've practically scooted my computer screen into my lap and I'm searching.
Searching for front loaders & frames.
Oh my!
Have you seen what front loaders cost these days?
Their ad campaign is showing off some pretty nifty styles.
I spotted one of my cousin's adorable daughters on facebook sporting this classic pair! Tori looks stylish in pretty much anything!
Me, I've always played it safe.
You know - Tina Fey style.
Warby Parker has 27 vintage-inspired prescription glasses with a high-end look and a budget price under $100 buckaroos!
(Remember I'm also looking for front loaders)

"The Warby Parker aesthetic is vintage-inspired, with a fashion-forward twist - and every pair is custom fit with anti-reflective, polycarbonate prescription lenses."

Here's the neat thing. A pair costs just $95 (including shipping). If you’re not satisfied, return them for a refund.
They'll even send you up to 5 pairs of glasses to try on at home for 5 days free, they include a pre-paid return shipping label to send them back to Warby Parker with no obligation to buy.

Here's the really, really neat thing.
Warby Parker donates eyeglasses to someone in need for every pair sold.

I like that.
I not only like Warby Parker (and concept) but I think I LOVE it?! Now I have a hankering to reverse my lasik surgery. I adore their styles and you make them all the more 'cooler' with your fab post. I love your new header you chic blogger you.
ReplyDeleteMy blog is SO neglected / :
Happy weekend to the Porter bunch.
Love,

New title, new header, new glasses - what's next??!! I'm with you- readers are attached - can't do anything, can't go anywhere without them!! I love Warby Parkers even though I haven't bought any yet. Without revealing any identities, my next BEHIND THE Q victim has the chicest prescription sunglasses - made me want a pair even though I only need readers!! Wish they had lasik for us farsighted folks!!
ReplyDeleteGreat post Lisa!!!! And I love your new look, fabulous!! Funny when I didn't NEED glasses, I would have cut off my left pinky for a pair of Oliver Peoples and now that I actually need them and there are more great looking frames than ever, I am kind of balking but the time has come alas so this post is most timely. I am going to scroll back up and go through it very carefully and slowly.....must say all these gorgeous people wearing glasses such makes them look glamorous!
ReplyDeleteHeader, Warby Parkers, and TLPC photo picks - all divine. I love the concept of giving for all sold like TOMS. Happy weekend!! ; ) oxo
ReplyDeleteI "treated" myself to a pair of readers while on vacation. It was a sad moment:) However, I may perk up a tad after seeing these lovelies.
ReplyDeleteWe just added a front loader to our family. I must admit that I'm in love with it and only have one small *issue* that I'm learning to deal with over time.
Hope you're having a great summer ~
Jo
love this site, been using it i highly suggest it! good to share! ciao!
ReplyDeleteI have to chuckle as I can relate big time. I have so many readers all over the house most with only one earpiece! I'm not ready to pay big buckeroos for readers, but I love the way the Warby Parker gives back. Now for the front loaders.....I opted for a top load energy efficient washer early last year. It actually is pretty cool.. . there is a setting that the washer will 'see' what the level of the load and only use the water necessary for that load. I could not fathom paying what the front loaders cost and they also have a reputation for mold growth as they are so airtight there is no 'breathing'! I also like simple.
ReplyDeleteGreat post...you have been in your laundry room, I have been painting ALL inside doors on the main 2 levels - 23 to be exact. 2 more to go! Yippee!
xo
Oh....and I really like your new header too!

MOTH & I stumbled across the most amazing Optician when we were in Hong Kong last month. He had frames I'd never seen here. So we gave the MasterCard a real workout, a pair of ultra groovy Porsche specs for MOTH & Issy Miyake for moi. We are sooooo happy with them & now we have the perfect excuse for a quick return visit! Hope you are having the most wonderful Summer my sweet friend.
