So I'm going along minding my own business...

and by chance, a red flag catches my eye...
Does this ever happen to you?
You're surfing along on the www and suddenly you fall madly in love. You've been searching forever and finally, you find...the most incredible denim sun hat,
or the softest stripe boat neck t-shirt...
or the classic navy espadrilles, the only shoe that I adore getting sandy...
all packed together in the most amazing advertising campaign!
This is CHANCE.
It all started with a striped t-shirt. It's simple & classic and like CHANCE has become a signature of great style!
CHANCE is the vision of Julia Leach. The daughter of a French writer and Midwestern potter who has spent the past twenty years working in the field of design, art, fashion, and technology.
Her confident sense of style found her at Kate Spade for eleven years, whereas EVP/Creative Director she created many of the brands most memorable ad campaigns, developed it's boutique aesthetic, and greatly influenced the company's visual language.
Her relaxed approach to living and curious spirit eventually gave shape to her own vision and CHANCE.
The striped t-shirt, the espadrille, a canvas tote, a button-down shirt - classics that can travel the world and are also just as happy hanging out at home...

ReplyDeleteI have been a BIG fan of Chance since it started several years ago. Not only are the clothes and accessories timeless classics but I also adore the Discoveries section on the site - so inspirational!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh Q. you are so right. The Chance short films are all about the summertime pace that I love. Thanks for stopping by and getting your feet in the sand!

Dearest Lisa; Why oh why do you do this to me?!! CHANCE is my kind of shop. I've been reading Ines de la Fressange's book "The Parisian Guide to Chic". Everything you'd discover @ CHANCE you'd imagine Ines giving her French approval. Thanks for the intro lovely Lisa. I hope when you were 'going along minding your own business' you were wearing a piece of clothing'? I adore the photos you choose. Each one perfectly depicts your message, your thoughts. Wishing you and the Porter fam. a fabulous lazy long weekend.
ReplyDeleteWith love,

Daughter Angela and I both love classic clothing and accessories. I will head over now.

Lisa...first your comment made my day. You are a riot and a great person with a wicked sense of humor...love it! Second, this is really funny because as I am typing this I just happen to be wearing my Chance boatneck tshirt! How funny is that? And I will vouch for the fact that it is ultra soft, after MANY washes and wears, looks great and is practically a uniform...the line is great and very much sums up how I like to dress. Classics, well made and constructed, good materials, affordable, just easy to wear. Great post......what are the chances that I would be wearing my Chance top reading your post on Chance? Now chance that! (wow that was corny) Have a great Memorial Day weekend.
ReplyDeleteI need more boat neck shirts. GREAT post.
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa, I too am a fan of Chance, I have ordered from her site and been pleased with the quality..great timeless, classic American clothing and accessories.
ReplyDeleteThe stitching on the denim hat is so fun...I think we all need a bright red floppy hat in our sun hat collection as well as the denim!
